This is my blog with personal and technical articles. My Blog for me is primarily a playground to do somethings with the server I have running via my DSL connection. And in my humble opinion it looks better every time I tinker with it.
Quick Response Barcode
I’ve been playing with my new Nokia N80 mobile phone. Today I had sometime to try out a few new Symbian applications. One of them is the Kaywa Reader this tool can use the camera to scan a barcodes, like the picture next to this article. In this barcode information can be encoded like phone number’s, URL’s and other info. In the picture my name and e-mail address are encoded. The speed with witch Kaywa scans is subliminal, but to be honest I think I’ll start using the Nokia barcode reader. The usability of the information onces scanned is beter then with Kaywa.
I also installed Google Maps and Mobile Weather two also very usefull applications.

New mobile
have had a mobile from my employer for 4 years now (perhaps a bit longer). Of course this is a very simple business model, and I was a little bit fed up with it. I wanted something shine and new. So I’ve been looking around for a month now to see what phone would fit me the best. I have had plans to buy the Nokia N94 but it’s a bit to expensive and for some reason Nokia did not build a pop-port™ in it. So using it with my carkit is not possible.
But yesterday I made my decision and have bought myself the Nokia N80. It’s a smartphone with the works. Like Bluetooth, 3 MegaPixel camera, symbian OS and even Wireless LAN connection. So I’m very pleased with the phone so far. Hope it’ll live up to it’s expectations.
