My little place on the internet...
This is my blog with personal and technical articles. My Blog for me is primarily a playground to do somethings with the server I have running via my DSL connection. And in my humble opinion it looks better every time I tinker with it.
Nsyght - Kick the algorithm to the curb
A month ago the Nsyght website went live with a alpha preview of there site. I was already aware of the new social search engine site to be launched due to a number of visits by the Nsyght search spider to my web server. I've added an account 11 days ago to see all the possibilities of this new social media mashup of a search engine and socials bookmarking sites. They have set there selfs a lofty goal to let the users create there own custom search engine using there social network. The way this custom search engine works is that the site will create a detailed knowledge about what you think is relevant based on the bookmarks you submit and friends you make on the site. To allow quickly add bookmarks del.icio.us and ma.gnolia integration is currently build in, so starting a bookmark collection is a breeze.
The current alpha site that is running is only a fraction of the things the groups is working on. It gives a good taste of things to come. But if you want a smooth running feature packed new social site I suggest to wait for the beta release.

Xoocle-su mashup
While browsing I cam across this great mashup. It’s beautiful in it’s simplicity. go to the site, type in your StumbleUpon username and it creates a page for you with your StumbleUpon tags and if you click through al those tags It retrieves the latest articles base on the them via Technorati, del.icio.us and Flickr. click here to take a look at my page with my interest.

IMified Review
I’ve signed up on IMified about a week ago and I’m very pleased with the great service IMified delivers. Which basically is a service that allows users to add notes, to-do’s and calendar items as well as blog and add entries to various applications (del.icio.us, twitter, jaiku, stikkit, 30 Boxes, BackPack, BaseCamp, …) via the major IM services AIM, MSN and Gtalk (Yahoo is currently offline).
I myself use it to be able to blog to this site via the Wordpress widget which also works for Typo, add twitter entries from MSN, add URL’s to del.icio.us and write notes and to-do’s.
This is one of the best mashups I’ve seen lately. It’s a very useful and clever tool to get to all your data in a simple way. There is one thing I would really like to see added to this service, beside an ever growing number of widgets, that is the ability to have more IM account connecting to you IMified data. Because I use MSN and Gtalk.
